Back for 2025!

Welcome to the fourth edition of The Farsley Literature Festival, brought to you by Truman Books and Old Woollen, along with our friends from in and around Farsley.

Once again, we’re bringing fantastic headliners to Leeds, including acclaimed British author Adele Parks, who is celebrating writing 25 books in 25 years with the launch of a new, gripping, psychological thriller.

We can’t wait to host Sir Tony Robinson who’ll be sharing stories from his remarkable career, his passion for history and his exciting fiction debut.

We’re also absolutely delighted to be welcoming global bestselling author Andrew Child, for an amazing celebration of popular protagonist Jack Reacher’s 30th adventure.

Even Terry Deary, who has had 359 books published in the last 48 years, is finding time to call in for a chat about his new history book for adults!

There’s interactive experiences too; from an afternoon of sleuthing and the opportunity to try your hand at solving a crime with Antony Johnston as part of our Crime Day, to a journaling / writing for wellness workshop to our legendary Book Lovers’ Quiz, where you can test your bookish knowledge.

From a Food Writer to a Justice Campaigner, from Crime Writers to one of the UK’s most original voices on nature, place and people, Farsley Lit Fest offers something for everyone. There’s the chance to find new fiction favourites, and to catch up with established top picks like Robin Ince who’ll be sharing his first collection of poems.

We’ve given every event a title and have summed up each one using three words or phrases to offer you an extra bit of guidance to find the event(s) best suited to you.
